Business Days Calculator

Add working days to a date or count business days between two dates, excluding weekends and your holidays.

How business days are counted

A business (working) day is any day that isn't a weekend day or a public holiday. When you add N business days, counting starts the day after the start date, so adding 1 business day to a Friday gives the following Monday (with a Saturday–Sunday weekend). When you count between two dates, the start date is excluded and the end date is included, the same convention used by spreadsheet functions such as NETWORKDAYS minus one.

Weekends differ around the world

Most countries use a Saturday–Sunday weekend, but some use Friday–Saturday, and some businesses work six days a week. Toggle the weekend chips above to match your situation.

Holidays

Public holidays vary by country, region and even industry, so paste the dates that apply to you. Open datasets such as Nager.Date publish holiday lists for 100+ countries if you need to automate this.
